Jing people(Vietnamese in China) live in three places
of Wutou, Wanwei and Jiangping (the So-called Jing's three islands)
in Dongxing, Fangcheng municipality. Changha Festival is the most popular
traditional festival among Jing people. "Changha" means singing.
In that day, all the villagers dress themselves beautifully and gather
in front of Ha temple to greet their god, offer sacrifices to their
ancestors and sing folk songs. They enjoy singing and dancing while
drinking. The activities often last for three days and nights.
Dan doc huyen is a kind of folk stringed instrument peculiar to Jing
minority, with a rich southern character. Just like flowing from the
dan doc huyen, the melody sounds sweet and beautiful.
